Overview
The Direko Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a high-tech, fully autonomous aerial platform designed to establish superiority in air-to-air combat (dogfighting) and tactical strike scenarios within the scope of the TEKNOFEST Fighting UAV competition. Equipped with advanced deep learning algorithms and an open-source flight architecture, the Direko UAV can successfully execute airborne detection of rival elements, target tracking (locking on), and autonomous kamikaze dives without the need for manual controller intervention.
Specially designed to maximize operational flexibility, the DIREKO UAV can take off via hand-launch without the need for a runway, and perform an autonomous belly landing upon mission completion. Thanks to its carbon fiber-reinforced EPO fuselage, pusher motor configuration, and a V-Tail design that enables agile maneuvers, it stands out as a reliable tactical solution offering high stability and agility under demanding competition conditions.
